Week 92

dear family and friends i just want to start out my talk with something that President wrote us all this week he said 

I hope that as each of you go through this week you will remember the great significance in your lives of the birth of Gods only Son in the flesh Jesus Christ. And let the joy of that testimony within your heart fill your soul with joy and everlasting happiness.Now I know that some of you may be homesick and missing your families during this special time of year. I have a suggestion. Turn your thoughts to your Heavenly Father and let your hearts be full of praise and gratitude for the gift of his Almighty Son in your lives and you will feel the healing power of Jesus Christ as he heals your own homesick heart.And then go out and go to work and tell everyone with whom you come in contact with the good news. That Jesus can heal them and that he loves them. And as you do so you will feel his love for you.

so that's what I'm going to do its really not easy this time of year but its something so special and beautiful it really is being able to be here serving the lord this last month here with Elder Trasviña has been very special for me we have worked hard and we have one more week to work super super super hard so that our investigators can get baptized the 24th and we can accomplish our goal please family pray and fast do everything possible so that this Christmas you guys can feel the same way that you can feel this love in your hearts for our Savior Jesus Christ this last week i had the chance to give 3 baptismal interviews to people that are going to baptize the 24th and my joy was so big as i was able to see there testimony's and the changes that they have had in there lives the power of Jesus Christ has started to heal them and there is no joy bigger for me then being able to ask someone do you feel ready to make this covenant with god and to be loyal to him and to hear them say yes 

I know that this church is true that it is the church of Jesus Christ there's no where else that a 21 year old kid can feel and experience the things that i have experienced and the feelings that i have this Christmas as i am here not worrying about the presents under the Christmas tree but worrying about what I'm going to do how can i be more worthy so that we can baptize on Christmas eve and confirm 3 people members of the church of Jesus Christ and welcome them in with loving hugs !

this week was a good week went bye really fast we have been seeing miracles we found another investigator and put baptismal date for the 24th of December we have 5 investigators with baptismal date for the 24th of December and all of them are from the members there family's our less actives this week was kind of harder then the first week i just need to have more faith and more confidence in God that hes going to do his part if i do mine im doing all of my part and i have seen the blessings already and the miracles that God is doing here but some times i get nervous or i feel like i just don't know what else i can do cuz i know God can do everything and everything is possible with him but i just need to have a good attitude and have confidence in my self that i can do my part and be the hands of God in this area!! but I'm just going to keep going and keep being happy my companion is doing awesome he is a stud he reminds me alot of myself when i first got in the mission but he is a lot better then i was and more prepared we get along great!!! please please please pray for eleseo, david , paula, jimena, cecilia we need all the help we can get we really need a Christmas miracle so that we can make this a wonderful Christmas and show our thanks to our Savior Jesus Christ this Christmas is becoming something very special for me every day since December has started we have done service for someone and it has been a great feeling we are just trying to not get to carried away we have found that there is alot of service to be done on Saturday we helped one of our investigators he wanted to paint his walls but he had holes in them so we bought concrete and filled in all the holes but it turned into a 2 hour project but it was awesome then after that he asked us he sells beer he asked us if we could deliver some packages of beer on a dolly to his neighbor that lived around the block so that was pretty funny my companion told me after hes like hey we shouldn't do that its not a good image that were walking around as missionaries with a 6 packs of beer and i was like ya well your probably right but at least we helped our investigator cuz hes an old man I'm loving the mission and I'm loving this time of year there is really nothing better then giving your life to others and coming home every night so tired from doing good and loving and helping others i love all you guys and thanks for the birhtday wishes i feel so old i think that i have lost alittle bit of hair since i left on my mission but its okay i grew alot more on my face so it all evens out haha

Week 89

my new comp is awesome my area is pretty crazy so there hasn't been good missionaries here for a long time its worse then cedral when I got there the last missionaries got sent home like 2 weeks ago cuz they decided to go to the bar and drink and smoke in the house  so when we got here there was cigarettes all over the house and ashes movies from the world beer bottles so it was a surprise for my comp ha ah so the first night we spent cleaning for 3 hours im sure my comp was like this is not missionary work haha and he was tired but it has been a great week mom we have put 3 baptismal dates with investigators for the 24th of December and so please pray for them dana paula her little sister and teresa and we had 2 investigators cometo church on sunday and it has been a week full of work work and work it feels good I'm glad that I'm district leader and training again i think that's where I'm best at in the mission as zone leader you don't really do anything but as district leader your just doing the work and my comp is awesome he is from baja California he speaks Spanish his city is where they do the baja 1000 motorcycle race he new kirt casseli and all those people so we get along really good i defiantly am ready to come home jhaha 11 weeks left but i don't feel tired at all or anything like that I'm at the best part of my mission in the best area here in the mission there's so much work here my area is a rama its not a ward yet so were in a house of prayer its just a little house its not a church but this Sunday was awesome I felt the spirit a ton my area is where the rivers are and the little boats its super pretty its just like a little pueble bunch of little mountains and stuff its been a great week and my comp is awesome he is learning so fast and hes going to be a great missionary President pulled me into the office and told me Elder Tams i want you to do the same thing that you did in cedral and so that's what were doing and its been a humbling experience i have and to remember that its the lords work and put all my trust in him with prayer and fasting i know that we can achieve the goals that we have for December we have the goal to baptize 2 people so that the mission can achieve the goal of 100 baptisms and were working hard and were gonna do it

Week 88

well its been a good week here... nothing to exciting just the same old same old we are all working really hard so that we can achieve our goal in December as a mission to baptize 100 people so we are working our butts off  oh ya one funny thing that happend this week we were with some elders studying and one of the elders was kind of sad and then he just told us he's like I have alwways wanted to go ice skating in the mission but I have always asked president and he has never let me he was like you guys think he'd send me home if I went ice skating and we were like no probably not he's like if i just left right now would you guys come after me and we were like well ya of course and he was like alright and he threw his phone to us and walked out the door and so we were like what the heck hahaha and so we followed him out the door and he was already way in front of us we finally found him getting on a bus we got on there and i was like hey where you going he's like im going skating theres a place right close to here and i was like well you know im going to have to call president right he's like ya whatever call him i need to talk to him anyways and so we get to the ice rink he pays for some shoes and he's just skating arounnd and so I call president meham and I'm like hey were at the ice rink a missionary ran away and he said he wanted to go ice skating so we followed him here and he's like what??? let me talk to him so i yelled out for him on the ice and handed him the phone later he told me that president said hey what are you doing? do you want to go home i can have your plane tickets right now and that he was like well no and he said then get your butt off the ice and come to my office so that we can talk so he got off put his shoes on and we got on a bus and he kept telling us i just want to go home then we get to the offices they talked for like 3 hours him and presiednt and they both came out laughing smiling and talking about deer hunting hahaha and now the elder is good just working like normal so that was a pretty funny crazy experience in my mission besides that every thing is really normal we are going to have a family night tonight with a bunch of our investigators so that should be fun!!

i love you guys thanks for everything you do for me i am really grateful for you guys and what you do for me lots of elders their families don't even write them but i have been blessed with a great family that has always wrote me and supported me

this has been a great week we had stake conference here in contreras and Elder Martinez from the area 70 came he is so powerful he is just a spiritual bomb the way that he taught us and the stories that he shared just really helped me to grow spiritually we sung all the missionaries 2 as a missionary choir it was beautiful i tried to imagine i was singing for my savior Christ i read all the words a couple times before really trying to focus on the meaning of them and what it meant for me and it was awesome a great experience for me in my mission lately i have just been trying to focus on my testimony of the book of Mormon i love the book of Mormon so much the other day a investigator told me i just want to be completely sure for my baptism i want to know and learn more i don't feel ready she was kind of worried. and i told her sister anabel there is 1 thing that you need to have a testimony of and it's the book of Mormon because if you only have a testimony of the book of Mormon you are also going to know that Jesus is your savior and the Joseph smith is the prophet of the restoration that the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saint is god's church here on this earth!! and its so true my loved ones thanks to the book of Mormon. i know that God is my father and that his son Jesus Christ came to this earth and payed the price for my sins!! i have been able to change my life only because of this book if we read this book i promise you that it is the book that will help us get closer to god that any other book on this earth family and friends i plead with you with a heart full of love that you can read every day the book of Mormon in your life it is the book of answers and i testify that it testifies of Christ and that Joseph smith restored the gospel once again the same exact church that Jesus Christ established when he was here it is a beautiful beautiful good news share it with everyone it doesn't matter who just today on my P- day i was on the bus haha and it was really funny cause i sat next to kind of a cute girl it was the only chair open and she just kept looking over at me and staring and when i would look at her she would look away i probably had like a big booger or something haha!!!! but finally i built up the courage and asked her hey does the bus go to the cross it's a place in my area i new it went there but i just wanted to start the conversation she told me yes i then asked her where she is going i asked her if she believes in god and we just started talking then she asked well what is the difference between your church and the church of the Catholics or the Christians and i told her i said well we believe that Jesus Christ established his church but when he died and his apostles that same church was lost and it's when lots of other churches started and that in the year 1820 un joven by the name of Joseph smith had this question which of the churches our true and he decided to ask in prayer God the eternal father and his son Jesus Christ and they answer him they descended from heaven and told them none of the churches were true because there not the same churches that Jesus Christ established and i testified to her that i know that Joseph smith saw our father in heaven and she said oh.................................................................... hahah and i just explained it in 5 minutes and then i asked her where she lived and if we could come bye and talk more about this and she said yes !! its really so easy to share this message we just have to open our mouths and share what we know and others will fill the love of god and the spirit and then ................................baptisms wooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

Week 86

Feliz Dia De Muertos familia!!!!!💀this week was a great week im still doing good this next week we have a zone conference so i got to talk to all the missionaries so that should be interesting we did a fast so that we could know what to talk about we have been talking lots about the book of mormon and teaching the promise in moroni and this week we had a good experience with valeria a member invited her to go to center for visitors in the temple and she went and loved it she came to church the next day and we have been teaching her ever since she is awesome she is 13 years old and the first lesson we taught her the restoration and that how she can know is through the book of mormon and moroni 10 we invited her she prayed and the next day she came to church and told us guys i did it and i recieved my answer i felt peace in my heart and happiness as i was kneeling next to my bed i know that god loves his children that he talks to each of us personally and he will give us consuelo i have felt it i know that he lives and loves each of us and that is my simple testimony this week

Week 85

this week was a great week Pres. talked to us about the vision what he has always talked about the vision of the mountain and that he wants the mission to keep progressing like the mountain just keep going up and up that were not on a roller coaster but that we can get better and better!! more and more baptisms and its something that has helped me a lot were not perfect but if we put goals in our lives then we can keep getting better and better we have a vision in our zone teaching investigators with members and our goal is 10 lessons every week for the zone this last week we taught 83 lessons with member present in our zone and it doubled from all the other weeks we have had so we our just going to keep on going keep getting better and better pour zone is doing great and its been really cool to see the progress in the zone this week we taught a lot about addiciones we have 2 investigators that have problems with drinking and a less active that were trying to help quit smoking before his 2 kids get back from the mission so he can go to the temple with them! its been really awesome for me and a huge testimony strengthener because i have had to overcome addiciones in my life and as i have testified of the power of Jesus Christ and his atonement to these people i have been able to do it with confidence and with power cuz i know the change that can come from Jesus Christ! so if you guys could pray for these people it would be great so that they can give up there addiciones they are doing awesome and they really want too get better one of them almost had he baptismal interview this week cuz she has stopped drinking for 2 weeks but she decided she wants to wait a little longer but there names our carlos he is 21 he wants to give up drinking and drugs cuz he has a 5 year old daughter that he doesn't get to see that much and he wants to get better for her the other one is tania she has 3 kids one of them is member she is a single mom and she wants to also change for her kids its awesome the power that all the kids have to help there parents and to love them and be a good example on them family i just want you to know that there is no other path that brings more joy in this life then the path that god has giving us with our family's the path that will bring us home to him! i know you guys can do it that if any of you have addiciones that you can do it it comes from the little things the first time you guys say no to a cigarette or a drink of beer it'll be hard but then the 2nd and 3rd time it'll get easier and easier and you will get power form the atonement of Jesus Christ he wants us to have happiness in our lives and joy but we just have to make the little decisiones to do it!! it hasn't been easy for me being on the mission it was really hard for me to get up at 630 every day haha and when a missionary doesn't do that it just starts your day off bad and you just feel like a failure.. but i can honestly say from the little decisiones just every day at 630 hey you know what im going to get up god has blessed me in my mission more then i can tell you has taught me how to work how to be diligent and that obedience really does bring happiness and blessings im still not perfect and ill never be in this life but im learning im getting better im learning how to change my life and it has brought more happiness then i can express you guys can all do it you can all be what god wants of you!!! President talked to us about the pornography and he said that his son is in the army in Afghanistan and that every time they find the cell phone of a terrorist or people that have just done horrible things there cell phones our just full of pornography he said stay away form it he said it is what is going to destroy this world!! and its the truth i have seen it to many times with friends or family or here in the mission it destroys families!! in the mission there is still temptation here there is a bunch of news stands on like every corner and the news here is just covered in porn and we are in the street all day so it has helped me so much that every time i walk bye these stands i don't look i look away or i look at the ground cuz i know whats over there and i want nothing to do with that in my life it destroys our thoughts and our purity and our deception of women 

i love you guys and i just want you to know the things that our church teaches our true that i have taught these same things to people familys here in mexico with confidence cuz i know that i am a worthy man and i have seen mothers cry and feel the spirit becuase they nkow that this is what they need in there tlives i invite all of you my little cousins my uncles aunts friends stay away from these things be strong say no the first time and then the rest it will get easier and easier and you guys will see the blessing in your lives :) i love you guys with all my heart!❤

Week 84

its been a good week we are working alot with the missionary's in our new zone !! there some really great missionary's some of the best i have worked with my whole mission we have lots of new goals to work with the members and its going good im doing awesome im really happy and working my little booty off it has been really hot here lately im starting to get a little sunburnt but its all good i need to get a little tan before i come home ;) so far this has been a really good journey an awesome experience i cant believe that its coming down to the last months! the lord has truly blessed me and he keeps blessing me i still have so many goals before i go home i still have to read the book of Mormon one more time so i can  meet my goal this week i went on interchanges with a new elder elder Wilkinson he just got here from the ccm actually he told me that he ate lunch with my sister anna a couple times so that is pretty cool it made me really happy but anyways i had a  cool experience when we go on changes with the missionary's we are suppose to put goals to help them and i just bore my testimony to him of the book of Mormon and putting the goal of reading it every day!! and that thanks to that book i have been able to change my life and be the man i want to be! its the same thing i said to anna and i cant express to you guys how true it is i know that its going to be hard when i get home to keep reading but i have the firm goal . my mind set that im going to do it its not as easy as you guys think on the mission either lots of the days im leaving the house here at 630 or 7 to go to meetings or to other areas to work with missionary's but what i have found is that its not about how much we read but that we read every day yesterday i was up tell 11 cuz i had to read my 6 pages in the book of Mormon and ill probably do it again tonight cuz we just don't have time the lords work is fast and beautiful and it doesn't wait for anyone i want to invite all of you to just start reading one page one verse every day our spirits need it there's nothing more rewarding then going to bed at night with a feeling today i prayed today i read my book of Mormon your testimony's will grow and be fortified my recent converts here in this area we did the same invitation one of them she is reading 4 pages every day and her testimony has grown she has been a member for a little more the a month i know that you guys can do it especially my little cousins or sisters if you read the book of mormon and have a testimony in thy youth you guys wont fall into temptation you will be strong!!

i know that Jesus Christ is our savoir he is my redeemer i feel his love what i want most in my life and what i hope for is that he is in heaven pleading for me and for my investigators to God and that he is saying God bless them help them please help them.... imagine that and i know he does it but it depends on us and on our  determinacion to keep the commandments!

i just feel the need and desire to be better every day i want one day to be married and sealed in the temple have kids have those beautiful experiences that come with a family i want to lead and guide my family with faith with obedience and with love i know that there's a lot that comes ahead in my life but im happy im glad what i have learned is from all the experiences all the new responsibilities it show we push our selves and how we keep progressing in this life!! Gods Plan for me gives me hope! that one day i can be the man i want to be as im standing in front of our Savior and as hes saying you have done good you have been diligent you have been obedient you have earned your celestial kingdom with me and my father and with thy family!! God loves us and he has giving us the way to come back to live with him

It just depends on us! i love you guys and you mean the world to me your all i have and all i want in this life 2 years has been along time  it has helped me to cherish and value our family !
