Week 99

Well this is my last letter I'm really excited to come home i have been really nervous haha because of my hemorrhoids... i haven't been able to go to the bathroom for a long time and so on Wednesday night i woke up and i thought i was dying i couldn't breathe it felt like i broke 3 ribs or someone just was stabbing me in the stomach so at 3 oclock in the morning i called my mission President and they were freaking out so they were like get a taxi and get to the hospital we will meet you there so we get in the taxi and fly to the hospital this whole time my stomach is just killing me Elder Begley said is this what its going to be like when my wife has her first baby haha and so we get to the emergency room and there like alright we will do a x Ray they do the X ray they come in President is sitting right there by me and they show us the X ray and i just have a ton of Poop all in my stomach its like up in my ribs and in my kidneys and so that's why he said my stomach hurts cuz its all inflamed my whole stomach so he said were going to give you a shot for the pain and were going to give you another thing that i didn't know what the word was and after the doctor leaves President goes you know what there going to give you right? and i was like no he said there going to do the same thing they gave me when i had my hip surgery and i couldn't poop there gonna stick a hose thing up you butt and pump you full of juices so you'll go poop so hahaha the nurse comes in he says roll over gives me a shot in my butt for the pain that he says ill be right back and he comes back with this big old plastic thing and some lube haha but the funniest thing is I'm thinking President is going to leave and hes just like no ill just turn my head so he turns his head and the doctor puts that thing up there and I'm just screaming  like a little school girl and President mecham is sitting there laughing his head off just laughing so hard haha so they give me that i went to the bathroom alittle bit but the worse thing is i haven't been able to go to the bathroom for 3 days so my last 3 days here all the missionaries have just been making remedies too try to get me to go to the bathroom so the moral of the story is that I'm so nervous to come home i cant even go to the bathroom but hahahaha I'm really excited its been a great couple of days on Wednesday we went to the temple and did a session then on Thursday we had our last interviews and we did the changes for all the missionaries with President what a great experience that was to see how the lord works here in the mission we did a fast with President and we were praying and it just all came together really good after the change meeting we went to Presidents house to eat some great food that sister Mecham made us and the whole time President is just laughing his butt off about the hospital and that i was screaming like a girl haha there great people i love them so much  then yesterday we went to the judges to marry mario and claudia and we had his baptism interview yesterday and he is getting baptized today at 5 well I'm not going to write a huge letter but i hope that you all know how much i love you and appreciate your love and kindness and support that you have shown me these last 2 years i really do have the best family and i love them something that President told me in my last interview that was my goal that i told him about a year ago when i had a special interview i told him i just want to change i want to be better i want to be a good man like my dad and be more like him President told me Elder you have done it you have changed and i know that your parents are proud of you now you just got to keep on going when you get home he said you are converted but your conversion needs to be alot deeper and its only going to come from keeping the comandmantes and to just keep on going as you do that he said you testimony and conversion will keep growing... and so that's exactly what i plan on doing i love all of you thank you :)

only 1 more week..... this week was a great week we had zone conferences  this week and we went around and taught all of the missionaries they were great conferences for me and for everyone the zone leaders sister trainers everyone did awesome we talked about being converted and not conforming to the mission and the rules not just going through the motions something that president said that really helped me he told a story of when him and sister mecham and his 2 grand kids wanted to climb up this mountain in November and see all the leafs and he said there was a little bit of snow and so sister rmecham was pumped up and they started he said about half way sister mecham sat down on a log and said nope im not going farther its cold and I'm tired and president said no were going were going to make it lets go stop pouting and lets go!! so they kept going they got about half way up and again sister mecham said no ya were going back the snows to deep and then his 2 grand kids started crying and said ya grandpa we want to go back and president said he told his 2 grand kids he said you have Mecham blood in you and Mechams do not throw in the towel i don't care if i have to put you both on my shoulders and Carry sister mecham in my arms we are making it to the top... he said you guys don't have mecham blood in you but you do have the blood of your family how do you want to represent them? in that moment i thought 1 more week i have i am representing them in a good week and I'm proud of it 1 more week i haven't thrown in the towel i have fought the good fight and i haven't lost the faith!! he said they finally made it to the top of the mountain and sister mecham said Bryan your right its beautiful up here! we made it it was worth it he said but something interesting happened as they were coming down the mountain his 2 grand kids were running down the mountain and sister mecham they had so much energy and he asked what happened you were just barely so tired and now your running!! he said that's how its going to be when we finish our missions we are going to get to the top of the mountain and ya maybe the journey is going to be hard the mission will be hard but he said if you just conform to the mission you will get to the top of the mountain but nothing will change because you hadn't really changed anything on your mission he said when you finish your mission you will receive 100 fold like the scripture said you will get to the top and have energy to run down the hill with your work school family you will have the strength because you learned how to do it here on the mission!! family i am so grateful that i have stayed and that i have done the lords will i cant explain the happiness that i feel now and I'm so ready to get home and just keep running keep going on with my life and keep doing it i know its going to be hard but I'm excited i don't want it any other way because I'm not scared because i know that i can do it i know how and i am eternally grateful I'm eternally grateful for my mission President i cant explain the love that i have for him and his wife after one of the conferences they took me and Elder Begley out to eat at sirloin its like chuck a rama but here in Mexico and we were talking in the car he was just telling us stories and stories of before the mission how he got called to be mission President and how it was a big surprise and i told him well be careful you still got lots of more years to live and he said ya well we will see he said i just want to ride horses with my grand kids have barbeque's with you guys and your kids and when he said that i could really just feel the love that he has for each one of us he is a great man it was funny because i was telling him i said i don't know why but one of the things that I'm most excited about is getting home and working construction with my dad i said he sent me a picture the other day framing a pole barn in the snow and i just thought oh how i want to be with him working hahaha i said its funny because i remember telling my dad before the mission i don't want to go frame this is hard work i never want to do this work when I'm older i said but now its what I'm looking forward to most is putting on my work clothes and going out in the cold and working construction with my pa President said everything changes in the mission now you have a new perspectiva on life and its so true I'm excited to see all of you guys and i just wanted to tell you all thanks for your support and love i have often gotten letters from random people from the ward or aunts and uncles i am thankful for all of you the mission is the best thing any young man can do!!!

Week 97 pics

Week 97

its been a great week went bye fast but an awesome week we now have 4 investigators and we are hoping that a couple of them can get baptized before we go home there names are romuldo claudia mario and veronika!! my companion Elder Begley is awesome its sweet being here with him we were companions in the mtc so the other day i asked him hey have i changed since the mtc and i liked what he said haha he said well your personality is the same but now your just like a polished over Elder Tams i liked that alot because i thought of how it is that we can be a polished and better person then we are right now and the only thing that i can say is that its thanks to our Saviour Jesus Christ and the personal determination that each one of us has to be better and to change and do the little things right i was talking with Elder Begley we were talking about the mission and how much we have changed and how happy we are for the way that we have served and because we made the decision to change and be better and keep on going... but we both agreed that we don't feel like we have gotten to the top of the mountain and that we can just lean back and say well i have done it I'm here i know everything i don't need to get better anymore we both said that we feel like we have done great things here but that there is so much more that is left to do and that when we get home it is just the start and we have got to go and give it everything we have and make the decision every day until the glorious day that we can stand before our lord and saviour Jesus Christ! our mission Presidents son and kids came this week to the mission and we had the world conference and President was talking about his kids he said if you guys want to see what happiness is and he pointed to his son and his family and said this is true happiness he told us that at about 6 o clock in the morning he was laying in bed and he heard the footsteps of his 2 grandchildren running to his room that they ran in there got up on his bed and that for a whole hour he had them both on his lap and that he was just listening to them and he told us with tears in his eyes this is the celestial kingdom after the world wide meeting i told his son jared thank you and that i am eternally grateful for his parents that they are great people and have helped me so much he told me your going home in 2 weeks right i was like ya he said good luck its the hardest after the mission when you just got home so i had been thinking alot about that this week but i told him I'm excited i have a good attitude i know its not going to be easy but i know that i can do it and its what i want i have my goals and I'm going to achieve them all that i am thinking lately is the same as President and his joy of seeing his grandchildren after a year of not seeing them my joy that i am going to feel seeing my family i love you guys with all of my heart and I'm so grateful for the family that God has givin me its always in the back of my head our family cheer and IMO so glad that we have it "TEAM TAMS FOREVER NO EMPTY CHAIRS YA!!!!"  I'm glad that my parents have taught me what is most important and its a eternal family! and i know that it's not easy if there is anything that i have learned on the mission its that its not easy but if we have a goal and we do of returning to live with our father in heaven then the choices that we make now in our lives every day really do matter and that if we can just learn to get up and go to work that we can achieve any goal that we have in our lives and get to the top of any mountain love you guys thank you for your prayers for me :):)

 well its getting down to the last couple of weeks its been a good week today we took Elder Batres to the airport and sent him off it was good for me to be with him we worked are butts off until the last day that he was here in Mexico so that was awesome and its what i plan on doing so my new companion is Elder Begley he was my companion in the mtc so that's pretty sweet my 1st and last companion in the mission we have 2 investigatores that this week we are going too teach the restoration and put a baptismal date so please pray for them romuldo we found this last week he sell candy and cigarettes in a wheel chair at the stoplight in the street his wife is member and we found them on Saturday and invited them to church on Sunday and so we passed bye for him in the morning in a taxi and they came to church with us and they liked it alot so please pray for them and the other guy is mario his wife is also a member and he has came to church alot he like to drink Alcohol but his wife told us they went to a party and all his friends were telling him hey drink with us just on beer but that he told them no so he is progressin please pray for him that he can have the strength to stop drinking besides that nothing to fun around here i just plan on working hard and finishing the race strong sprinting to the end!!! next week we have the world wide missionary devotinal so thatll be fun then were going to have change week and we get to do the changes of all the missionaries with President so I'm most excited for that its cool being assistante cuz president tells us alot of stuff about missionaries and just changing things around thinking of what we can do to help this missionary and stuff like that so its cool but really we just keep working hard!

Week 95 pics

Week 95

Well its been a good week we have been working alot in our área our ward is a little difficult last week in church only like 30 people came we are going to be receiving boundary changes soon  and we are going to combine with another ward so I'm really excited for that cuz right now its  a tough work i have never worked so hard in my life and walked so much my companion loves walking haha but i keep telling him man i cant  walk no more I'm a old man now my legs hurt and my knees haha but its okay I'm learning to work hard and to not give up but this week week are going to find a different way to work cuz yesterday we tried everything searched for less actives for antiguo investigadores and no one opened the door we didn't teach one lesson but all Day long we were walking and searching and talking with everyone and nuthin but were going to find some body im sure of it oh ya and guess what i have hemroides it hurts to go to the bathroom and to sit down and to walk haha the Mission is awesome :):) besides that nothing to exciting this week. I'm going to the center of the City today we can only go one time are last change in the Mission so im going today it should be fun I'm going with Elder Rico my old comp and lesly my convert from contreras my companion right now is going home a week from today He's going home a little early to start school so ill be getting a new comp for the last 3 weeks of my Mission what else.... Um the 25th there is going to be a world wide conference for all the missionaries and some stuff is going to change  in the Mission. There pretty cool changes i don't really care cuz I'm going home but it'll be good for Anna, anyways i love you guys this week was a really good week for me in my studies oh i love the book of Mormon so much it has helped me to change my life sometimes i read it and i feel like i don't get much out of it cuz i have other things on my mind or stuff like that so this week i have tried to find a place that i can be alone and as i read i imagine whats going on and my heart is full of the spirit and of thanks this week i have often found my self praying and giving thanks and i think but why am i giving thanks we didn't even teach anyone today and then i say but this trial or hard Day i have had is nothing compared to the good days and the  blessing the lord has given me :)

Week 94

This week has been a big week i got changes and I'm now presidents assistant with elder batres he goes home in 2 weeks so basically i am learning a new área and what i need to do as assistant and i only have 2 weeks to do it then i have to teach my new companion everything because ill be leaving 3weeks later so it should be fun :) this week in Wednesday we went to the airport to take the missionaries we woke up at 130 and i stood in a línea for 3 hours with my good buddy elder Walker he was supposed to come home with my but he tore his acl so he went home a little early then that same day at 12 i trained the new misionarios that only has 3 days in the Mission it was a great experience for me i trained them for a hour then President got there and lets just say it helped me to open my eyes and see how much i have grown President talked about me to the new missionaries of when i was in cedral and of other wonderful experiences i have had then today we had another training for district and zone leaders we we trained them with President so far its been a great experience for me in just this week i have grown alot as a missionary and im really happy something that President said in one of the conferences that i liked a lot is he said in each one of oír personal conversión we need to learn respect and reverence something that I'm trying harder on  today my mom told me that she was on her way to the hospital that my sister molly was being transported in a ambulance and it seriously made me to crazy thinking of every thing that could happen i got on my knees said a pray with my comp and then he gave me a blessing and it was a wonderful blessing where he reminded me to remember the promises of the temple and when i came out of the room i checked my email and my mom told me that my precious sister was okay that it was just a false alarm but i can assure sol of you that when i got the blessing from my comp i felt God's love and i know that he lives i know with al surety that we will return to love with our loved ones and with God's and its a beautiful promise and its why I'm here because in the future i  want an eternal family i don't want to work all of my life and do everything for my kids give them my all and when i die i don't want it to just end there I'm so grateful for the knowledge of this plan and i give thanks to gods in my life
