Week 36! Yikes this is the week the Dr. wants to send Sam home for Stomach testing...(mom's title) rough week for us at home...while he is doing great! Staying Positive!
well what a crazy week haha well I'm feeling better just so everyone knows i have ate like 20 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches this week hahaha and trust me these Mexicans do not like it when i tell them that i cant eat there food that i got to eat a peanut butter sandwich to help my stomach haha they all get offended but its alright so yesterday we baptized Hermana Artemisa Martinez we have been teaching her this whole change but we can only teach her on Sundays so it has taken awhile t o get baptized but shes awesome she is 24 and has a 3 year old daughter she really understands everything super good and she learned so fast me and my companion were laughing after the baptism in the house cause i was like dude i feel like we just robbed that baptism because most people we have to work with a lot but we only taught her 5 times and she understood it all really good it was a good baptism we did it after church yesterday so that was one thing that was awesome this week the other thing is last night at like 10 the assistants called us and told us that we are both leaving our area because there gonna put sisters in it cause there's a lot of sisters coming this change and our area is a nicer area so that sucks i was really sad i love Elder Avila don't tell my other companions but he is probably my favorite we just get along super good and were always laughing hes a good man and I'm gonna miss him he taught me a lot so basically all last night and all morning today we have been cleaning our house for the princess missionaries that are gonna come and packing our bags I'm excited to see what this change brings but its always so nerve racking last night i didn't go to bed tell like 2 in the morning haha this week was a good week and i love you all i love my mission I'm so glad to be here and I'm so grateful for the experiences I'm having and the lives I'm changing i really know with all my heart that this gospel changes lives i know that lots of people have problems in there lives but I know that if you put your trust in god that he will give you strength please all of my family and friends i cant explain how much you mean to me and how much you have done for me i cant tell you how much this gospel means to me it truly is changing my life and it can change yours read pray and go to church and what they say in Mexico is poco a poco little a little you will be converted unto the lord i know that my whole life i am going to be doing this poco a poco but i know how to do it know and its through the spirit the spirit strengthens us do everything you can to search for opportunities to feel the spirit in your lives
ill let you all know next week who my new companion is and my new area

Week 35
Wow what a week it was for me they do celebrate Halloween here but they celebrate it for 3 days there still celebrating it its called dia de muertos and they believe that the spirits of our ancestors come and visit us the 1st of November so they all put food on there tables and candles and stuff and they all eat and they put photos of the people that they want to come and visit them on the tables and they believe that they come and eat with us so that was pretty crazy but besides that we carved pumpkins with the hermanas in our area because the 2 Mexicans have never carved pumpkins they don't do that here haha but it was kind of sucky because it was fast Sunday on Halloween so we didn't eat any candy haha but i did buy a big skeleton chocolate head so that's cool this week i know that our Savior loves us with out a doubt we have a new investigator he is 27 his name is Alberto and he has cancer we gave him a blessing on Halloween and taught him the restoration he expressed his feelings to us after the blessing and i know that we really have the priesthood here on this earth i know that every single one of us can be forgiven of our sins i love you all so much and i love this gospel i know that if we live worthy of the spirit that we can really be guided in our lives i know that all of us have difficulties in our life and questions i know that god answers our prayers we just need to ask him we have the key to the door to heaven and God never locks the door

Week 34 Ermita October 26, 2015
bueno toda vΓa tango churillo!!!!! haha i dont think any of you are gonna know what that means... but that's alright look it up ha this week was pretty good pretty plain nothing to exciting happened except for Elder Brent Nelson and his wife of the Quorum of the 70 came and talked in our stake conference and that was super awesome Saturday we had a priesthood session at 4 and then the general at 7 haha me and my companion didn't know if we were suppose to go to the 4 o clock priesthood session or not so we just went haha we were the only missionaries there after the session i talked to my zone leaders and i was like man you guys missed out on the priesthood session it was great and they were like dude we weren't suppose to go to that and we were like ya well no one told us and i was like well if were gonna be rebellious missionaries that was a pretty good thing to do ha ha it was a great session he talked about our role as priesthood holders and he said that in order this is our roles
1st role is to be a husband
2nd to be a father
3rd employee or employer
4th church calling
lots of us were kind of shocked that that was the order but he told us that 1st we always need to have good and our relationship with him and our wife is first but then he said if the 1st three things aren't in order we cant do our church calling it was a great talk it really touched my heart i in the other sessions the night session and Sunday morning they talked a lot about missionary work but the thing they talked most about is
family home evening
family scripture study
family pray
Elder Nelson didn't know Spanish so he talked in English but he told a lot of great stories he told a story that i really really liked he said that when he was a stake president in there house in Idaho falls they had a sand box in the back yard and that there boy loved playing in it he said that they only had one rule no water in the sand box because after it will turn in to mud and it will make a huge mess he said one day he came home from work he saw the hose all rung out and leading to the back yard he went into the backyard and saw his son covered in mud playing in the sand box having a great time he said he was very mad he said i had a bad day at work and so he grabbed his boy by the hand sprayed him off with the hose told him he was very disappointed with him and that he new that that was a rule and sent him in the house crying he said after when he was winding up the hose the lord gave him a revelation he said that the lord said to him Brent every single other person in your stake has a loving stake president but your son does not he said from that day forward that he wanted his son to grow up good in the church and he said that our kids are gonna see how our heavenly father is for how our earthly father is if our earthly father is mean to him he is going to think our heavenly father is mean so he said if we want our kids to know that they have a loving heavenly father we have to be a loving earthly father this story really touched me and i know that we need to be examples to our kids he said our kids can teach us a lot of things patience which I'm sure i taught a lot of this to my parents hahaha they can teach you love and they can teach your how to keep the commandments
he also said that when he was a stake president lots of couples would come in to there office and say president our marriage is falling apart its because he doesn't show enough attention to me and she doesn't do this or that and he said well our you doing family home evening our you doing family prayer our you doing family scripture study and they said well we know that we need to do that but Brent tell us the things that our really important that will really help us and he said well our you doing family home evening every week haha our you doing scripture and prayer every night he said these our the things most important this is my challenge for all of you i know its hard and I'm sure I'm gonna learn a lot more how hard it is when i have a family but i know that if we do these every day and the same time that we will be blessed and we will be happy and closer as a family Elder Nelson and his wife have 8 kids and he said we are blessed because every single on of them served missions every single one of them our now married and sealed in the temple he said lots of people would come up to him and ask how did you raise such a good family and he said that he had family night scripture study and prayed as a family and went to church i know that this is true he said something else really funny haha sorry I'm talking a lot about this but this is really all that happened this week he said sometimes alot of you can see that the mom has 5 kids but she is raising 6 kids haha he said this cant be how it is the mom cant raise the dad haha he said that it says in the family proclamation that it is the dads job to lead his family to lead the family home evenings to lead scripture and family prayer
i know that this church is true and i know that i am learning things that really will help me in my future i love this gospel i know that our Savior Jesus Christ is our teacher in this life when i was sitting in conference Elder Nelson was baring his testimony about Jesus and i was sitting next to a pregnant lady haha i don't know if she was just really pregnant and emotional but i noticed that she was crying as he was baring his testimony about our redeemer Jesus Christ i know that we all have the power to bare our testimony don't be afraid bare your testimony to your friends and family members just like this pregnant Mexican lady is was sitting by you can touch someones heart i love you all and i am very grateful and humbled for everything you do for me God is good and he loves us all don't forget it
Have a great week
WITH LOTS OF LOVE

Week 33 Enrique's Baptism
Great week here in beautiful Mexico its been pretty cold haha i cant catch a break now i have a cold but besides that what a great week we baptized Enrique Gonzalez on Saturday well our mission President did haha after the baptism we had a activity and cleaned our church and after ate tacos then watched Ephraim's Rescue what a sick movie it was super cool besides that we have just been working we are gonna have another baptism in 2 weeks because this next week we have stake conference well besides that haha life is good I'm happy i love being here sometimes its hard but i know that our father in heaven is watching over us and that this is his work i love you all and i know that its hard i have hard times in the mission i really do I'm not gonna lie sometimes i feel like my Spanish isn't as good as the other missionaries or that i don't know the scriptures like other people but the truth is that the most important thing to do that I'm learning and if you can do this as a missionary you will have success is love the people learn to show your love i love my companion he is a super good dude he is a recent convert of one year and a half but sometimes i just want to punch him in the face when i get impatient haha and i cant speak Spanish so I'm grateful for him and his patience with me haha in the video Ephraims Rescue i like it alot because Ephraim wasn't always the best kid haha just like me but when he came to know the truth he always tried to live worthy of his priesthood and to be a instrument in the lords hands and that's what I'm trying to do i love being a Mormon and i love sharing the gospel i am finding the most joy in all of my life
le amo toda ustedes son mi carnales
