so Tuesday of this week we had a devotional and we watched the Joseph smith movie and i seriously could not believe it haha if i were to sit down and watch that movie at home i would probably only last 20 minutes haha but i felt the spirit so much and i was like laughing at some parts of the movie and then i was crying in other parts basically it was just a turning point where i decided that i have only been here 2 weeks and i have already changed so much that's the hard part on missions is changing your attitude basically about everything the sooner you humble yourself and change in your heart the happier your going to be theres missionaries here that have the worst attitude and they still swear and all this stuff haha its just crazy to me its all about your attitude I'm like the happiest most friendly person here even happier then the Mexicans and there pretty happy haha basically i say hola coma esta to every single person i see
so today we went to the Mexican consulate to do some stuff for our visas and it was crazy because first off i could understand what people were saying and that was awesome and i finally got some real street vendor tacos and they were so good the best thing i have ate since i have been here so that was sweet then we went kind of on a tour of Mexico city haha its so crazy here you guys have no idea the heart of the city is so clean and so beautiful and nice and then where the ccm is it is in the straight ghetto its still nice in the mtc grounds but everywhere around us there is just trash everywhere there's people that sleep on piles of trash as there mattress its super humbling but it is also pretty crazy i took a bunch of pictures of the city ill send them
so basically all around i love the missionary life its nothing what i thought its was haha the other day i was complaining about waking up everyday and going out side and smelling poop cause that's just what it smells like here haha and then later that night i was telling my companions how much i love missinos and stuff and they were like what about earlier when you were saying that you hate waking up and smelling poop everyday and i said haha well if i gotta wake up everyday and smell poop then what better place to do it then here in Mexico serving the gospel that i love haha they thought that that was pretty funny haha :) so basically I'm sorry if this e mail wasn't as good as last week I'm forgetting how to talk and write in inglesia already my teachers told me that if i just forget English and replace it with espanol than i will learn the language so that's what i have tried to do hahah
i love this gospel and i love all of you i pray for you every night and i can feel that it is going to give blessings in your life i love Jesus Christ and i love how loving he is to all of his children my relationship with god i think is what has been strengthened most since i have been here god is loving and he listens to our prayers pray is so important i want you all to know that if you pray with a sincere heart and you love this gospel then god will answer your prayers I'm already excited to see you all again one day just like it was a dream for me coming here now that I'm here it feels like home is a dream
keep on keeping on love you all
Elder Tams
ps keep writing me dear elders i got like 10 letters and 2 packages one day and so i think that's why my companions hate me but i don't care cause i loved them all
