MTC week 5

this week was good it went by really fast it started out with general conference on Saturday and Sunday and that was awesome everyone in the ccm watched it together in the auditorium and i loved hearing from the profetas y apostoles mi espanol is maso manos yo necisito trabajo on it haha but i know then when i get in the field it will come and I'm not stressed out about it I'm never really stressed out this work is awesome and its enjoyable
in my journal i wrote for Saturday April 8th today was general conference it was pretty good i took allot of notes but i missed my familia a ton its allot funner watching it with them then a bunch of missinoarries although it was really cool when they would talk about missionaries and stuff haha it was kind of weird i was like wait that's me I'm a missionary now haha it was cool mi favorito session was defiantly priesthood session it was really good but it mad me miss mi papa allot but it was awesome to know that he was watching it to
on abril 6 lunes i wrote in mi journal today was Monday Mondays suck here and the mail was closed for some reason i have been going to bed later this week for some reason i just haven't been able to sleep i washed and ironed all my shirts and i packed them all up besides the ones im going to wear this week but besides that everything is basically packed haha im ready to get out of the CCM and experience more of the culture of mexico everyone that i ask about my mission says that ciudad de mexico sur is the prettiest part of mexico city so that makes me happy they all say that its really green there and stuff
on April 8th yesterday we taught Yvonne shes a investigator that is mi miastras amiga y she is not Mormon at all and we have taught her like 4 times and she kind of had problems with the church we asked her to be baptized last night and she said that she doesn't know hwy she needs to be baptized because she doesn't feel like shes a bad person and she knows lots of people that our baptized in our church that our bad people so that was really hard to try and explain to her that not everyone is good people just because there baptized it really Made me think that there really are people that our looking at you to see how you act and stuff its sad because maybe if those people that were apart of our church were a good example on her than maybe she would of said yes to being baptized but she committed to going to church with our teacher and she has been reading the Scriptures so that's good she had allot of questions about marriage and stuff its really hard for Mexicans to get married down here its allot of money that allot of them just don't have but just little experiences like this with Yvonne just make you want to keep going and be a better missionary!!

well i leave on lunes at cinco en de maƱana on monday at 5 in the morning I'm really excited the food sucks here but im also sad because i have seriously made so many friends here I'm grateful for the relationships i can make on my mission i know I'm gonna cherish some of them for the rest of my life

i love you all so much and I'm so grateful for you this week was kinda hard because of conference and that made me miss mi amigos mucho and on Sunday Easter we didn't do anything i was hoping that there would be good food or something haha but all there was was freaking poyo y beans y rice y corn tortillas and IMO so sick of that hahah pero I'm happy for all the love that i have at home and my friends and my family that i know love me I'm super grateful for all of you i hope you know that

MTC week 4

10 dias left here wohoooo!!!haha im excited to get into the field this week was pretty good it went by really fast mi espanol is coming along i still suck but i can understand most people :) so this week

marzo 28 Saturday i wrote in my journal haha tonight wasn't the best i was in a really bad mood because I'm just ready to get out of here so i was in a really bad mood and i don't want to do anything until like 7 at night i had to teach a lesson to one of our teachers it was just like a exercise but we only had like 10 minutes to prepare for the lesson and i did not know what to teach her so i said a prayer that i would know what to say and what to teach her and while i was teaching her she started crying and then she asked me a question about baptism and so i taught her a whole lesson on just baptism and at the end i asked her if she would commit to baptism and she said yes haha i know it was just a exercise so its not that cool but after she told me that she started crying because she felt the spirit so much so that was a good feeling knowing that she could feel the spirit as i was teaching her even though it was fake that one of the hardest parts here is your supposed to have all this love for your investigator and care about there needs and stuff but its hard because there's a lot of fake investigators so its hard but i do an alright job at that

marzo 29th sunday i wrote in my journal we talked about service today and about becoming like Christ and being selfless it was a good day i can see the importance of being selfless and serving others to me its the whole purpose of my mission right now is just learning to help others and to care about them i think its important for everyone back at home to realize this too since i have been out here i have realized how selfish i was when i was home I'm already so excited for my mission because it is teaching me so much about myself and about how i can change and be a better person its hard work but its worth it in the end  evangelio has given me everything that i have in life and it makes me super happy :):):):)

April 1st Wednesday was a good day we welcomed the new missionaries that came and i really focused on being nice to mi companeros and it was a good experience there studs there good dudes and there teaching me alot and I'm teaching them a lot in the night we had TRC and we taught the same investigator from last week and we taught another lady we didn't know that she was a member when we were teaching her but at the end i bore my testimony on the book of Mormon because that's what we were talking about and then after that she just went off and started telling us how she has a son on a mission right now and she is so grateful for us and that she really needed the message that we gave her and it was really good she basically just testified of what we are doing is so awesome and is worth it and it made me super happy its good to here that your doing good sometimes because a lot of the time here people are negative towards each other

April 2nd we went to the temple today and it was a really good experience its not open so we were just bale to walk around temple square and go to the visitors center and stuff but it was super cool to see some of the videos in there theres a video that talks about families and them being in the temple and it was the best video i have seen since i got here its so awesome i wish you guys could have watched it i can testify to all of you if you want happiness in your life and you want to always feel the spirit then go to the temple the longer and longer I'm here the more i realize what the big picture is and its helping people to get to the temple baptizmo is just part of that in the video we watched i started crying at the end of it because there family was so awesome and it reminded me of you guys and how loving our family is i love it and i think that its muy bien i hope that you all are doing so good i invite all of you to go to the temple to work your hardest to stay worthy to go to the temple or if you haven't been you need to go you need to pray to god he is here for you he loves you so much and so do i

everyone have a good week and keep working on your relationship with god its important i couldn't see it as much as i do know on my mission and its still so hard for me but just keep working hard and enjoying life!

MTC week 3 pictures

MTC week 3

que pasa familia como esta this week was pretty crazy haha i don't know how to explain it so I'm just going to read write some of my journal entry's:)it all started on Sunday marzo veintidos i wrote in my journal tonight was rough because we watched meet the Mormons and i wasn't really that excited to watch it and then i ended up loving it but this one part in the movie really got me :(theres a missionary part in it and the kid in it is from Utah and it basically just goes through everything that it takes to get ready for a mission but it made me sad because the mom in it reminded me so much of my sweet mom i started crying during the movie and i can officially say i miss my momma haha the kid in the movie left for his mission out of the salt lake airport and he said goodbye to his family in like the exact same spot i did so that made me sad too haha mom if you want to cry go watch the missionary part in meet the Mormons it was bitter sweet to feel this way though towards my family it was a good feeling even though i cried like a baby!!!!:)

on Tuesday night i wrote in my journal
what a night so we taught our investigator Isaec(E-SOC) who is really hermano pinneda one of our teachers hes always getting on me and saying i can be one of the best missionary's i just need to learn the language i am trying to be really obedient but its hard its pretty rough porque i want to be the best missionary i can be but i also want to be happy and enjoy my mission and the people i am meeting here but anyways we had a lesson with e soc tonight and it was really rough i prepared for like 2 days to teach him and prepared really good stuff and our teacher was being such a tonto he pretended like he was sleeping while we were trying to teach him it was making me so mad i wanted to punch him our mensaje was not good and after i was just really mad i didn't even understand why i was here what the point of me preparing for 2 days and then not even have a decent lesson with him so i was really mad and then he talked to us and was like you might have an investigator that does that and stuff but he said one thing that kinda got to me he said i promise elder tams if you are obedient in everything that you do that you will be fluent in the language its so hard to have faith here because your faith is tested every single day that's why missions are so good because you learn to over come the challenges and then your faith grows

on Wednesday night
i wrote tonight we taught a new investigator she isn't Mormon she had a boyfriend and she has problems with the law of Chastity its one of my teachers room mates her name is hermana vergara she is my favorito teacher and she picked me and my companions to share a mensaje with her so i defiantly felt blessed to have the opportunity to help someone that my teacher cared so much about but i was so scared me and my companions said a prayer before we went in to teach her and i said it and i felt the spirit so strongly we had a lesson plan to talk about praying and to see if she new how to pray and stuff and to try and teach her how to recognize the spirit and how we can receive answers to our prayers we went in there and she told us that she has prayed that she wants to know if this gospel is true but she has never had any answers to her prayers i felt the spirit so strongly in that room telling me to say stuff that would help her but it broke my heart because the thoughts that were coming through my head were in English and i couldn't transfer them over to espanol but i bared my testimony to her my companions helped me with words it was a really good message and she committed to us that she would read the book  of Mormon and that she would pray with real intent and really want to know if this message is true it was bitter sweet and oh ya guess what her name was haha Yvonne but they say ybbonne in espanol cause that's how they pronounce there V¨´s i love this gospel i know that as we overcome our personal challenges no matter what they might be we might have them every day but i know that as we overcome them than that's the only way to become closer with our god!!!i wrote in my journal my companion's are really smart they both were like 4.0 students and they both took espanol in highschool elder jarrett went to byu before he came here and he was like super smart but both of my companions are kinda selfish there always complaining about how they cant speak fluently and all this stupid stuff haha and it really just makes me mad because if i was as good at espanol as they are this mtc thing would be a piece of cake!!the weather is great here i love it i leave in 17 days so that's crazy but who's counting right;) haha sorrella osborn wrote me and told me that it gets alot easier when i get in the field that your trainer will help you with the language a ton so I'm counting on that haha

i wish that i could portray my feelings more to you guys because i seriously have had the saddest but the most happiest moments since i have been here the thing i have learned the most though is that its important to have a good attitude in life no matter what your going through i know alot of my family is going through surgery's or even spiritual harm but i promise if there is one thing that i have learn ed here its that you cant give up you have to keep fighting and you cant give up on god he will always be there for you and if you put your trust in him and sincerely pray for the desires of your heart i know that he will help you :)<3 sorry i had to get a little serious on ya haha !! i love you all and you have all been great examples to me

I LOVE YOU!!!!

talk to you next week send me dear elders and packages;)
