Week 70

well this week was a awesome week we are finally seeing some progress! this week on Friday we went to marry Enrique and Danai they are investigators of about 3 years here in the area  Danai is a less active and her boyfriend Enrique isn't a member and he has wanted to get baptized for a long time but he cant cuz there not married and they live together so since i got here about 5 months ago i have been teaching them and we have had a date about 2 weeks ago but they bailed on us but we finally went too where the judge is and they got married it was a journey and a half we left at 8 in the morning cuz itsw about 3 hours away in bus and first off it was raining then on the way there the tire on the bus blew out then we got lost but we finally got there and we had to wait like 2 hours and you guys know i don't like to wait but i held through and it was well worth it as we were in the room with the judge and with all their family and the judge said Enrique would you like to say some words and he started talking and his wife danai started crying i could feel the spirit and a feeling of Good Job!!! i just really felt like i actually helped someone then in Sunday they came to church with there family and Enrique stood up to give his testimony and it was a great testimony he told his story how long they have waited to get married how many elders have passed bye he shared his feelings of peace that he feels in his life right now and that they have a goal to get sealed in the temple! i was a very happy man this Sunday!! and now we have a baptismal date the 21st of this month his birthday to baptize him and his son now I'm just praying that i don't get changed cuz we have changes before that date this week i have felt what the mission is all about and i have felt true joy in my life to know that we could help someone complete with one of God's commandments if i only can baptize this family and see them go through the temple in a year i will feel like i have done good in my mission 

i love you all and i just want to give you thanks for you support and for your love that you have given me throughout my mission i have the best family that there is and im grateful for all of you

Week 69

This week was a really good week me and my companion and president and Sister Mecham talked in our sacrament it was a really spiritual meeting and we had 5 investigators come to church this week so we were really pumped!!right now the lord is blessing us and we have 6 investigators with baptism date right now we are just focusing our very hardest on trying to work our butts off and do everything right so we can baptize im personally just trying to be as pure as possible and the atonement has helped me so much i know that Jesus Christ is our savoir and that thanks to him we can have happiness in our lives we all have done things that has heaved us down but Jesus can lighten them i love you all so much and i just want you to know that i know that this church is true i cant explain the joy that i have now as i go to church and as i do the things the lord wants of me i know that the hard decisions but the correct ones are what will give us most peace in our lives

hello everybody how are you doing ?:) this week was a good week oh man we have been working our butts off rain sun the weathers crazy here we wake up and its freezing cold and then i go and get in the shower and it reminds me of scout camp the polar bear thats how cold the water is haha our boiler stopped working something pretty funny happened this week well my companion thought it was really funny so i woke up and had to go and start the boiler you have to turn the gas on and you have to light it with a lighter and we left the gas on through the night and it was kind of slowly licking out all night and i went to start it and it blew up in my face it was tiny but it singed my eyebrows and my arm hair and my comp was just laughing his head off cuz i came in and i was like tired at 630 in the morning that after it exploded oh man i was up´and ready to go! i have kind of gottin really sick of the food here we eat chicken every day for my whole mission that's how its been so now i just put a ton of salsa on there and eat it with a tortilla and im good to go  the member's here are really good its kind of a hard area just because its super tiny its seriously like 5 by 5 streets and ya so i honestly feel like i have contacted every store every one here but its all good we found 7 new investigators this week and we are so close to baptizing i am hungering for a baptism i think my comp thinks im crazy cuz i want to baptize so bad ,I have been sleeping like a big black bear i get home and after i get done reporting with my district and with the zone leaders i still have to read my 10 pages i have been finding my self lately in my bed drooling on my book of mormon cuz im falling asleep readying but its all good i have been feeling really good of my stomach and i am just chambiando un buen  i love you all and i just want to give a big shout out to the best dad in the whole world i love you Travis your a great man and you don't know how much i look up to you and cherish the things you have taught me hope i can be a dad like you

what a great week it has been here with my new comp Elder Sensano he is from Bolivia but he lived in Brasil for along time so its been cool to get to see a little bit how the Brazilians are !! so this week was filled with conferences with Pres. and the leaders in the mission we had 2 the first one was to teach us how to train a new missionary cuz my new comp only has 1 week in the mission and then the second one was for district leaders cuz im now a district leader it was super funny well funny and embarrassing cuz Pres. started out the meeting he said Elder Tams and Elder Olsen come here and he had us in front of all the leaders in the mission in his arms and he said whats the difference between these missionaries ? and one of them said there hair and Pres. said yes look at elder tams this is a good example of how you shouldn't cut your hair he said there is lots of missionaries that have hair cuts that look like chickens he said we cant do it anymore so that was funny but embarrassing for me so right after that i went to the house of a sister and she buzzed my hair haha this week was awesome me and my comp have been working hard he is doing awesome a lot better then i did my first week in the mission and we are just focusing a lot on our investigators we have 6 that were are going to put baptismal dates and hopefully about 3 should baptize this week its been a good week i was really happy and we are just trying are hardest to try and be better and listen to the things that pres has told us
