WEEK 41

this week i feel very blessed yesterday we went to our stake center and watched the tijuana temple dedication oh man that temple is so beautiful and the spirit in our stake center was so strong it was super cool i cant remember ever watching them put in the corner stone of the temple because most of the dedications i have seen have been re dedications it was really awesome president uchdorf said the dedicatory prayer and elder oaks presided I'm so happy that i have now been able to see 2 of the the 13 mexico temples dedicated well this week my message for all of you is about attitude and effort because this week i have been doing a lot of thinking about how I'm serving my mission and alot about the difficulties we have in our lives and i feel little spoiled this week was kind of rough i don't know if its cause it was just my birthday and its almost Christmas but i have just been kind of feeling bad for myself i have still been happy i mean how can i not but i haven't been giving it my all i think about the pioneers about the sick about the people who have lost family members this year an I have nothing to complain this past year i have been in Mexico and i have been doing the lords work the most important work that there is in the face of this earth i just wanted to tell you all how much i love you and how much i care for you that I'm always praying for you and i know the difficulties that you have had my mom has told me them all haha and i want you to know that every night when i kneel down and pray for you i feel God's love i really feel that God is going to answer my prayers the point that i almost start crying I'm grateful for prayer for the chance that i have to be better everyday theres a quote that i heard this week that i think really tops it all off it says "I'm not the man i want to be but I'm better then i was yesterday" End of quote this is all we can do in life something my football coach always told me is there is not staying the same we are either getting better or worse and i am really learning that right now i thought that oh ya i have read the book of Mormon I'm still reading i know alot i know this language i know how to teach but i know now with this week that i have had that if i want to be the man that i want to be when i come home i really gotta be better and give it my all attitude and effort are everything i know that if every single one of us gives it our all that the lord will do the rest he can make us the person we want to be but we cant do it with out him we cant this week i am going to have the best attitude i can and I'm going to be the best me that i can and i invite all of you to do the same to do a little soul searching and pick something that you need to work on because if we are not getting better we are getting worse this gospel is teaching me many things but i think the thing i need to work on most is work hard hopefully one day i can be a man like my dad is he is working his butt off right now and I'm here in the mission having troubles waking up at 630 in the morning i love you all and I'm grateful for you and i know that if you all make your goal to be in the temple that you will be eternally happy in the temple dedication president uchdorf said something i liked he pulled out his temple recommendation and said that all of us need to be worthy to be in the temple and then he pulled out a little strength for youth and he said if you follow these guide lines you will be worthy to be in the temple

Week 40

well my lovely family this week was honestly a great week it all started on Saturday we went to a brazilian resturaunt for lunch for my birthday a family took us that is so so unbelievable nice they all talk English because their parents live in Utah so basically we are pretty tight;)umm after that we had a baptism sister Susana she is so awesome her grandson baptized her we have been teaching her for about a month now but she has been listening to missionaries for about a year she has wanted to get baptized for along time but her husband wouldn't let her and this week we have just really been kind of pushing her to get baptized haha she has had a baptism date for the 5 of December for along time now but she kept telling us we would get to her house and she would say guys i don't think I'm gonna get baptized haha i talked to my husband and he said he's gonna leave me if i do it and then we talked to her for about  a hour and she said well i know it's true I'm gonna get baptized let's do this and this happened about 5 times but she finally did it and i have never seen a old grandma so happy she is awesome and her husband is just fine its really a miracle so Saturday was awesome and then Sunday i woke up and we had Ward council at 9:30 in the morning so i drank my mnt dew that i had been saving in the taxi on the way to church.... church was super awesome we confirmed susan a member of the church and all of the member's were so awesome after church we ate with a family julio and alijandra there a newly married couple alijandra is pregnant and they live in like a tiny Little shack cause there saving up to build their house and they are so awesome we ate hamburgers with them and her sister and her mom who are all recent converts of like a year their super cool they bought me a tie for my birthday it was awesome and cake and they put my face in the cake i don't know why they do that here haha it was mostly my companion that made me do it but it was super awesome then after that we went to the Christmas devotional they were playing it in the church so that was super pretty and after that we went to the house of the family that took us to the brazilian restaurant and they fed us pancakes and gave me another cake hahah the people here are so nice i cant even explain it i love them so much today we are going to go to a mall and buy some chocolates and some cards for the familias that gave us stuff cause there so awesome oh and i got my Christmas package from my mommy on Monday all i can say is i am so spoiled and i love you all so much i am so grateful for all of you and everything that you do for me i missed you so much yesterday but it couldn't of been  a better birthday here in Mexico with our baptism and everything i know that this church is true and i know that misión work is so important i know that to serve a missino its hard that were gonna be apart from our family or that were not going to progress in our work or in school but this is the most important thing that a Young man or Young women can do to prepare and to learn the things that we need to learn to progress as a person i love this góspel i love my savior Jesus Christ for the opportunity that i have to be a better person every day and i love all of you thank you have a great week

well not to much to tell this week oh its my birthday this next Sunday wohhoooo i told my companion that were gonna go to cancun haha no not really i wish haha i think were gonna go to chillis haha and buy my self a steak this week was a good week we had another stake conference that's the good thing about being a missionary this is the 3rd stake conference that i have had this year haha oh the life of a missionary no but really its pretty awesome 3 general authorities have came and talked to us and president and hermana mecham always talk to us too they talked a lot about eternal families which was awesome the general authority talked about how important temple marriage is which was just great for me haha cause i cant do that for a year and a half haha he said a lot of good things and i felt the spirit a lot this week we taught 40 lessons again but were having troubles helping our investigators progress we have like 5 investigators and they have been taught almost all the lessons and came to church but there just having problems making the step to get baptized but its alright our pres told us all we can do is keep working hard and pray so that's what were gonna do 

well this thanksgiving was awesome haha not really i didn't know how much i would miss pumpkin pie we didn't celebrate Thanksgiving for anything no one even told me happy thanksgiving haha but that's okay in 2 more years ill eat pumpkin pie haha ummm what else ughhhhh my Spanish is good i almost always understand everything the people our saying there is just lots of words i still need to learn well i love you all so much thank you for the birthday wishes and everything you guys do for me i really feel spoiled and loved so good job haha have a great week my lovely family

well feliz dia de gracias this week has been awesome we had a zone conference with president and hermana mecham it was awesome they talked alot about obedience which was so sweet because thats what they always talk about I'm so glad for the opportunity that i have to learn obedience I'm pretty sure that that is one of the biggest blessings of missionary work because if your not obedient you really cant do anything you dont have the spirit and the spirit is the most important thing in the mission this week was wonderful last week President gave all of the missionaries a new goal the standard of excellence you could say its to teach 40 lessons every week so me and my companion decided we were gonna try this out that we were gonna be as obedient as possible that we were gonna work as hard as we could and guess what we taught 40 lessons haha it was a great week i can honestly say with all my heart that this week i felt the spirit stronger in my mission then any other week of my mission im so grateful for all of you yesterday was the primary program in my ward and it was so awesome i felt the spirit so strong and the kids were so cute i know that my savior lives this week i am truely grateful for my savior Jesus Christ this year i can honestly say that i know that i can be forgivin of my sins that the lord knows me he knows my challenges an he is always there to help me i am so blessed to be here serving sometimes its hard im not gonna lie this week was hard we worked really hard but hard work is well worth it this week i have been sanctified by the spirit there were days where we were teaching so many lessons we just didnt have time to plan the lesson before we went in to the house but we trusted in the spirit and we taught some really good lessons I'm grateful for my savoir jesus christ and i know that he is here for all of you you just need to kneel have a great thanksgiving everyone i hope you know that i love you im pretty mad because I have been looking for pumpkin pie all week but it really doesnt exist here so save me a piece please haha or send me a piece haha have a great week
